Part 2 of a 4-Part Series on Client Website Success
Marian Huet, owner of Love And Hope Adoption Services, can smile now when she says she manages her own website, but she wasn’t smiling in October when her website management lessons began or ended.
Marian learned that websites are not easy.
The Marketing Square rebuilt www.LoveAndHopeAdoptions.org for Marian because she was not getting business from her previous website for the adoption services that she wanted to provide: Adoption Home Studies.
Love And Hope Adoption Services is a licensed adoption agency in Florida and Pennsylvania and the previous website offered all of its services but with equal attention to everything. There needed to be a focus on her primary service: Adoption Home Studies.
The website needed a blog, social media, video, visuals to engage her clientele with a warm, inviting story that explained her specific help with adoptions.
First Things First: Marketing Plan
A marketing plan provided by The Marketing Square determined that the mandatory adoption home study was her primary product because it is a necessary part of every adoption. All families or individuals adopting a child must complete a home study.
Love And Hope Adoption Services has a large staff located throughout Florida and throughout Pennsylvania who focus on home studies. Anyone in the nation can use her services, but she has staff in two states and wanted to focus on home study growth in the two states.
Google maps with offices are included for Floridians and those in Pennsylvania so that the offices can be reached based on location.
Love And Hope Adoption Services Challenges
Concurrent with offering adoption home studies, Marian is often asked to work on the adoption of newborns: from the mother who is giving a newborn up for adoption and for families wanting to adopt newborns. But the previous website wasn’t focused and the functionality
Marian’s a good writer and knows her business better than anyone else. Her passion for finding homes for children within the foster and adoption system comes through in every post she adds to www.LoveAndHopeAdoptions.org
Marian is tireless and driven to place children who have been in several foster homes, adoptive homes and families, who are from other countries or right here in Florida or Pennsylvania. It’s not typical, but she wanted to learn as much as she could about online marketing and her own website, social media, blogging and video that she could.
Marian did very well and is now blogging, posting social media and completed her first self-shot video which will soon be available on her YouTube channel.
Website Lessons Begin
When the website was completed in 60 days, Marian finished her video and asked if she could learn to do what we did. While we can’t teach clients 20 years of expertise, we can teach advanced website management.
Marian went for it. She learned:
- Blogging
- Social Media Posting
- Off Website Posting
- How to Shoot and Upload Video
- Scheduled Website Posting Skills
