In 5 years of reaching the top of Google, Marketing Square website clients are earning five and six figures monthly. Clients have signed and done business with consumers who find their websites and content online in six of our world’s seven continents: North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, South America.
We have our fingers crossed for clients doing business in Antarctica before 2016.
August 6, 2015, marked the fifth year of The Marketing Square providing clients proven website results. We want to thank all of our clients past and present for trusting us with their websites. We are always here to help and grow your companies.
Top of Google in 30 to 180 Days
In 2010, websites could reach the top of Google in 30 to 60 days. In 2015, websites reach the top of Goole in 30 to 180 days. Why the big difference?
In 2010 there were hundreds of thousands of websites online competing for attention. In 2015 there are billions of websites aiming at the first page of Google. Billions. You have competition locally, regionally, nationally and even internationally depending on your category and your level of services or products.
We Only Build WordPress Websites
Now, do you think you should build your own website? We do not. Nor do we build Wix, SquareSpace or GoDaddy websites which will not earn five to six figures monthly no matter what you do to them. They’re cheap and easy to build and manage. If you’re a DIY person, that’s great, but pay to have someone build you a WordPress website. It’s worth the investment.
Have you ever earned thousands of dollars for an $8 a month investment? Cheap websites do not and will not bring high end clients. Your clients may only need to vet you by seeing that you have a website and that you’re current and provide worthwhile content and imagery.
Your website is a direct reflection of the type of service and care that you will provide. You only have one chance to make a first impression. You’d better make sure your website shines.
Do a Google search in your category: Lawyers, doctors, realtors, financial services companies at the top of Google are not using Wix or SquareSpace. The top of Google requires a custom built, designed, coded, formatted and constantly maintained with new content website.
Which Clients Have Reached Six Continents?
When last week, a second client celebrated signing a client from six of our world’s seven continents. (yes, the second client to do so!) we were shooting video. I looked around the beautiful law office and made sure that the backdrop, the lighting, the angles were at their best.
With a large, world audience watching, or even a small audience, we treat every client and provide the best opportunities. We prep clients for video shoots. We provide them with topics, with lines to read and practice, with scripts they should review. NO, we don’t use teleprompters. our clients know what they’re talking about.
We setup a beautiful backgrounds, test the mics and do some run throughs before we keep the final. Some clients need no preparation and as litigation attorneys, they’re used to citing laws in open court or in a video shoot for their website.
Other clients need more time to practice. We take time with them, we coach them, we provide support and give direction on takes. We help make our clients comfortable on their private office sets. We check wardrobe, build sets and make sure that they appear at their best for shoots.
Who Are The Marketing Square Clients?
It would be nice to brag about which client is doing what, but we keep our current client list, data and revenue confidential. We stopped providing information more than a year ago online. We sign confidentiality agreements and often, a client is recovering from online reputation attacks so we stay low key and under the radar to keep their success going.
We can’t tell you their names, but if you need proof, we’ll have the clients call you to tell you what they will share about their results.
Why 100% Turnkey Websites?
What I can tell you is that in 30 to 180 days you will have continuous, regular clients calling you and e-mailing you to become your clients if The Marketing Square is hired to build and manage your website turnkey. Why our content and not your videos and copy?
We’re experts and professionals. We know SEO, SEM, coding, formatting, advertising copywriting and journalism. You’ll get what you pay for.
We provide turnkey websites because our clients are busy working. They don’t know anything about websites and have never touched their websites. Some clients have never even read what we place on their websites. They trust us because their revenue proves it. Our clients don’t doubt that journalists, SEO-SEM and advertising experts know what they’re doing.
Our clients are in surgery, in court, meeting with clients, seeing patients, working for clients. We handle all their websites, videos, content, online profiles, social media and help them by providing reputation protection.
What’s Different in 2012 vs. 2010?
Some Things Remain the Same
The work to get to the top of Google is more complex with coding, formatting, writing that has to appease search engines. However, the premise remains the same: only the best websites will be placed on the top of Google, Yahoo and Bing.
The difference now is that you can pay thousands per month to appear organically allowing The Marketing Square to get and keep you there.
Or cross your fingers and pay Google AdWords and play the daily word-buying game to outbid doctors, lawyers and your competitors for the top paid Google AdWords spots.
While The Marketing Square has success with both tactics, organic works best longer and for less monthly than AdWords campaigns.
New Websites vs. Rebuilt WordPress Websites
You may have noticed that our websites are all WordPress websites. That’s on purpose because WordPress sites perform well online. Even a dated WordPress website with annual updates and refreshes with new plugins, security and other design upgrades will work to bring in business.
Today, The Marketing Square sees many clients to build and manage new and existing websites. However, we see as many clients about reputation management and repair, online security, and regaining hacked accounts as we do for website management.
Five years ago, no one worried about:
- Ratings and reviews ruining reputations
- Hackers
- Online shaming on Twitter and Facebook
- Obsessively fiddling around with smart phones
- Responsive, mobile-friendly websites
- Letting websites do all your advertising (aka marketing)
Upgrading vs. Rebuilding a WordPress Website
If you’re considering a new website and want to upgrade or fix what you have, we can do that and your WordPress website built in 2010 or 2011 can be upgraded.
But as I just explained to a client who owns a 2011 website, you can add all the bells and whistles that you see on other websites to update your website. We can update and add an extra plugin to aid function.
What is a Plugin?
A plugin is to websites, as an app is to a smart phone: a plugin adds a function that may not have come with the original WordPress theme.
There are thousands of plugins. They’re created to add new, better different website functions, and like Apps, plugins change fluidly.
Like Apps, some work with existing technology in 2011 themes, and some plugin don’t work with every theme. If all you want is a specific function, we can add it with a plugin which requires testing and research.
Each plugin or added website feature to an older website, even a new website requires research to be sure the plugin works with the theme, and testing to make sure the function is as we researched.
Plugins are like Apps because some are good, some suck, some are created by hackers. So while a website change or update or functionality seems simple–it never is, particularly because if your site is an older theme. Things become more complicated and work less often if your 2013-2009 website has only been updated vs. being 100% rebuilt.
Technology Changes Fluidly: Websites Age
As each year passes, your website gets older. There is no way we can predict technology NOR can a website be “built to last forever.” That’s completely irrational.
Name one piece of technology that has never changed? Phones, TVs, stereos (gone!), laptops, tablets….everything in technology changes fluidly
The Marketing Square has completely rebuilt a five-year-old website. It is not finished, but it has been relaunched. No one is immune from the changes that technology brings.
How Much for a Website?
What you spend for a new website and its annual upkeep is an ROI question: How much will you commit to fixing and upgrading your No.1 revenue maker? If you’re making $100,000 a year, putting a percentage into upgrading the website makes sense because the older it gets, the more plugins will fail or need replacement.
I’ll use a 2011 BMW vs. the 2015 BMW example. You can’t add a 2015 muffler to the 2011 BMW…it won’t work because the technology needed for that muffler wasn’t available in 2011. When people see cool things on websites, we may be able to add that plugin if the technology works with your version.
You may be able to fiddle with the 2011 BMW engine to make it run smoothly, and you can paint it or add a new car sound system, but in the end, it’s still the 2011 engine and there will be glitches. Ready for a rebuild? We’ll do it all, 100% turnkey and in 30 days your refreshed website will do all your marketing for you.
