Brown is an award-winning sports journalist, and advertising expert who began generating content for websites in 2000.
In 2023, Brown celebrates 13 years of driving revenue for Florida clients who rely on The Marketing Square for ongoing new business and income.
“The Marketing Square team has successfully built law firms, medical practices, and small businesses through website advertising and marketing strategy,” said Brown who brought The Marketing Square to Winter Park, Florida, in February 2010.

The Marketing Square team is comprised of professionals who have worked together with Brown on more than 70 clients.
Brown, an award-winning journalist, began writing for newspapers in high school. In 1984, she became a sports reporter, and by 1987, was the nation’s first college football and basketball beat reporter covering Purdue University.
At The Detroit News in 1990, Brown was an investigative sports reporter, boxing columnist, copy editor, and page designer who produced sports series and interviews. Brown worked with newspapers including:

“My first ad campaign pitch was to the head of Jeep at the World headquarters in Auburn Hills. Two weeks later I was listening to Barry White record my scripts in a Los Angeles studio.
“I became senior copywriter, agency proofreader, and events planner and manager at GlobalHue from 1996 to 2004. It was exciting, but I wanted to learn more about PR, technology, events, and websites.”
Crisis Public Relations & Large Sports Events
In 2004, Brown handled Crisis Public Relations with Caponigro Public Relations. Next, Brown went to North Carolina to manage the Honda Battle of the Bands, and to bring in corporate client sponsorships for the CIAA Basketball Tournament.

Florida Small Businesses 2010
In 2009, Brown went out on her own and began providing website builds and content to advertising agencies and small businesses at the peak of the recession. Brown moved The Marketing Square to Winter Park, Florida, in February 2010 working remotely for clients in Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Texas.
“I’ve interviewed Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, Martina Navratilova, Bo Jackson, Sugar Ray Leonard, and hundreds of professional, high school, and college athletes.
“I’ve covered two Detroit Pistons NBA Championships (1988-89), multiple boxing world championships, the NFL, NHL, MLB, Pro golf, bowling, tennis, archery, and Olympic events.
“I’ve written advertising and website content that has earned Fortune 500 companies millions.
“But, I’m most proud of building Florida law firms for attorneys; medical practices for doctors; financial firms for wealth advisors; and construction and real estate firms for businesses founded by people who bootstrapped their way into their professions as I did.”
Clients Earn Five To Six Figures Monthly

Brown is a board member of the Second Chance Scholarship Foundation which provides scholarships to women with children who want to become nurses. Brown’s other passion project is as a board member of Hollow Creek Farm Equine & Canine Rescue which rescues severely abused, neglected, and exploited animals.
