Florida Small Businesses
Brown became an entrepreneur while in North Carolina and provided website builds and content to advertising agencies and small businesses in Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Texas. The move to Florida to be with family was not planned but working remotely online made it easy.
“Interviewing Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, Martina Navratilova, and hundreds of professional, high school, and college athletes was exciting,” Brown said.
“Covering two Detroit Pistons NBA Championships, multiple boxing world championships, the NFL, NHL, MLB, PGA, bowling, tennis, archery, and Olympic events was memorable.
“Writing advertising campaigns that earned Fortune 500 companies millions was rewarding.
“But, building business for attorneys, doctors, financial, and real estate firms during the recession had the most impact,” Brown said. “Working with people who bootstrapped their way into their businesses as I did is where marketing makes all the difference in their success.”
