“If you have cancer you need to work out because of the strain that it puts on your heart, lungs and other organs,” Meral said. “I worked out and ate right and I fought for my life.”

1. Hydrate upon waking
2. Don’t skip meals
3. Eat small meals often
4. Control portion size
5. Cook with herbs and spices
6. Avoid excess sodium
7. Avoid juices
8. Reduce complex carbs from LAST meal of day
9. Ordering out: skip sauces, butters, dips, salty, fatty
10. No amount of exercise works without proper nutrition
