True charity is the thought of giving without receiving.
When you’re asked to give to charity this season and year-round, give generously.
Don’t use charities for publicity. It’s tasteless.
If you can’t find time to help, then find a dollar to donate.
Don’t brag, post or advertise what you’re doing unless you’re sharing a joyful moment or telling people how to receive your donations.
It’s OK to tell people about your offers of help and where donations are available or how to get them. But it should be an FYI so that people in need can receive the help. But thoughts of “exposure” should stop there.
Give without thought of receiving…’tis the reason for the season.
